Und ein Sproß wird hervorgehen aus dem Stumpf Isais, und ein Schößling aus seinen Wurzeln wird Frucht bringen. Und auf ihm wird ruhen der Geist des Herrn, der Geist der Weisheit und des Verstandes, der Geist des Rates und der Kraft, der Geist der Erkenntnis und Frucht des Herrn, und er wird sein Wohlgefallen haben an der Frucht des Herrn. Er wird nicht richten nach dem, was seine Augen sehen, und nicht zurechtweisen nach dem, was seine Ohren hören, sondern er wird die Geringen richten in Gerechtigkeit und die Elenden des Landes zurechtweisen in Geradheit. (Jesaja 11, Verse 1 - 4) |
And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a branch shall grow out of his roots: And the spirit of the LORD will rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; And will make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he will not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: But with righteousness will he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he will smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips will he slay the wicked. Advent heißt Ankunft. Wir befinden uns in einer Zeit des
Wartens. Wenn ein Sproß aus der Erde hervorkommt, muß man
ebenfalls warten, bis er groß gewachsen ist. Hier wird uns aber
bereits angekündigt, was aus diesem Sproß einmal werden wird.

The word "Advent" means arrival. We are in a time of expectations.
When a rod is coming out of the earth we also have to wait in order
to find out what this young plant once will be like. Here it is already
announced what it will be like. |
