What do you see on this picture here? Can you recognize anything? Are there some persons? What are they doing?

Dieses Foto wurde von Eduard Maydanik während des XII. Deutschen Ballettwettbewerbs 2008 aufgenommen. Es zeigt junge Mädchen in dem Tanz, der die höchste Punktzahl aller Gruppentänze erhielt. „Bis zum letzten Atemzug“ heißt der Tanz. Wenn Du ein Bild dieses Tanzes scharf und klar sehen möchtest, so mußt Du hier klicken. Klickst Du hier nicht sondern liest weiter, wirst Du das Bild nie scharf sehen. Natürlich freue ich mich, wenn Du weiterliest, denn ich möchte Dir ja etwas erzählen, das mir wichtig ist. Aber Du kannst trotzdem klicken und dann wieder zurückkommen.

Wie oft ist es Dir in Deinem Leben schon ergangen, daß Du etwas unscharf gesehen hast? Es erschien Dir vielleicht wunderschön, und Du hast es genossen.  Aber es war nicht scharf und deutlich.

Hast Du vielleicht Ostereier gesucht? War Dein Blick scharf genug, und hast Du sie gefunden?

Übrigens das allererste Osterfest überhaupt hatte rein gar nichts mit Ostereiern zu tun. Ich vermute, Du weißt das, oder nicht? Aber es hatte etwas mit Suchen zu tun.

Damals vor ca. 2000 Jahren in Jerusalem hatten sie einen Wanderprediger namens Jesus hingerichtet. Als Frauen dann am Tag nach dem Sabbat die Leiche einbalsamieren wollten, war der Körper dieses Mannes nicht mehr im Grab.  Er war verschwunden, und alle Anhänger von Jesus waren sehr irritiert. Zwei Männer am Grab, offensichtlich Engel, sagten, er sei auferstanden.  Kurz darauf begab sich folgendes:

Und siehe, zwei seiner Anhänger gingen an demselben Tage nach einem Flecken, der von Jerusalem sechzig Stadien entfernt war, namens Emmaus. Und sie redeten miteinander von allen diesen Geschehnissen. Und es begab sich, während sie miteinander redeten und sich besprachen, nahte sich Jesus selbst und ging mit ihnen. Ihre Augen aber wurden gehalten, daß sie ihn nicht erkannten.

Und er sprach zu ihnen: „Was sind das für Reden, die ihr unterwegs miteinander wechselt, und seid so traurig?“

Da antwortete der eine namens Kleopas und sprach zu ihm: „Bist du der einzige Fremdling in Jerusalem, der nicht erfahren hat, was daselbst in diesen Tagen geschehen ist?“

Und er sprach zu ihnen: „Was?“ Sie sprachen zu ihm: „Das mit Jesus von Nazareth, der ein Prophet war, mächtig in Tat und Wort vor Gott und allem Volk; wie ihn unsere Hohenpriester und Obersten überantwortet haben, daß er zum Tode verurteilt und gekreuzigt wurde. Wir aber hofften, er sei der, welcher Israel erlösen sollte. Ja, bei alledem ist heute schon der dritte Tag, seit solches geschehen ist. Zudem haben uns auch einige Frauen aus unserer Mitte in Verwirrung gebracht; sie waren am Morgen früh beim Grabe, fanden seinen Leib nicht, kamen und sagten, sie hätten sogar eine Erscheinung von Engeln gesehen, welche sagten, er lebe. Und etliche der Unsrigen gingen hin zum Grabe und fanden es so, wie die Frauen gesagt hatten, ihn selbst aber haben sie nicht gesehen.“

Und er sprach zu ihnen: „O ihr Toren! Wie langsam ist euer Herz zu glauben an alles, was die Propheten geredet haben! Mußte nicht Christus solches leiden und in seine Herrlichkeit eingehen?“

Und er hob an von Mose und von allen Propheten, und legte ihnen in allen Schriften aus, was sich auf ihn bezog.

Und sie näherten sich dem Flecken, wohin sie wanderten, und er stellte sich, als wollte er weitergehen.

Und sie nötigten ihn und sprachen: „Bleibe bei uns, denn es will Abend werden, und der Tag hat sich schon geneigt!“ Und er ging hinein, um bei ihnen zu bleiben.

Und es begab sich, als er mit ihnen zu Tische saß, nahm er das Brot, sprach den Segen, brach es und gab es ihnen. Da wurden ihre Augen aufgetan, und sie erkannten ihn; und er verschwand vor ihnen.

Und sie sprachen zueinander: „Brannte nicht unser Herz in uns, da er mit uns redete auf dem Weg, als er uns die Schrift öffnete?“

Und sie standen auf in derselben Stunde und kehrten nach Jerusalem zurück und fanden die Elf und ihre Genossen versammelt, die sprachen: „Der Herr ist wahrhaftig auferstanden und dem Simon erschienen!“ (Lukas 24, 19 – 34)

Jesus ist auferstanden. Jesus lebt, jetzt hier und heute.  Wie klar ist Dein Blick, daß Du es erkennst? Besteht Ostern für Dich nur aus Ostereiern oder aus ein paar freien Tagen, die man zur Entspannung nutzen kann? Oder feierst Du zusammen mit Christen aus aller Welt die Auferstehung von Jesus?

Falls Du Jesus noch nicht kennst, vielleicht hast Du ja Interesse, Dich mal näher mit ihm zu befassen. Er war nicht nur irgendein Wanderprediger und ein guter Mensch. Diese beiden Männer damals, sie baten Jesus, bei ihm zu bleiben und mit ihm zu essen.

Jesus würde auch Deine Einladung annehmen. Jesus ist der Sohn Gottes, und Jesus liebt Dich, ausgerechnet Dich!

How often in your life has it already happened to you that you did not see things sharp and precise? It might have appeared beautiful to you, and you enjoyed looking at it, yet it was not sharp.

Did you try to find Easter eggs this year? Were your eyes sharp enough to find them?

By the way the very first Easter of all times did not at all have anything to do with eggs. I suppose you know about it, or don’t you? Yet it had got something to do with searching.

At that time in Jerusalem about 2000 years ago they had executed a preacher named Jesus. When on the day after Sabbath women according to the tradition wanted to put oil on the dead body, they did not find him. The body was not in the tomb any longer. He had disappeared. All the followers of Jesus were most irritated. Two men in the tomb, obviously angels, said, that he would have risen from the dead. Shortly afterwards the following happened:

That same day two of them were on the way to a village named Emmaus, which lay about seven miles from Jerusalem, and they were talking together about all these things which had happened. As they talked and discussed it with one another, Jesus himself drew near, and walked along with them. But something held their eyes from seeing who it was.

And he said to them, “What is it you are debating, as ye walk?” They stood still, looking sad. And one of them, named Cleopas, answering said to him, “Are you the only person staying in Jerusalem not to know what has happened there in these days?”

And he said to them, “What do you mean?” And they said to him, “The things concerning Jesus the Nazarene, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people: and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him up to be condemned to death, and crucified him. But we hoped that it was he who should redeem Israel. What is more, this is the third day since these things came to pass. Moreover certain women of our company amazed us, having been early at the tomb but failed to find his body; they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, who said that he was alive. And certain of them that were with us went to the tomb, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they did not see.”

And he said unto them, “O foolish men, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! Was the Messiah not bound to suffer thus before entering into his glory?”

Then he began with Moses and all the prophets, and explained to them the passages that referred to himself in every part of the scriptures.

By this time they had reached the village, where they were going: and he made as though he would continue his journey, but they pressed him: “Say with us for evening draws on, and the day is almost over.” So he went in and stayed with them.

And when he had sat down with them at table, he took the bread and said the blessing; he broke the bread and offered it to them. And their eyes were opened, and they recognized him; and he vanished from their sight.

And they said one to another, “Did we not feel our hearts on fire as he talked with us on the road and explained the scriptures to us?”

And they rose up that very hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them, saying, “The Lord is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon.”

Jesus has resurrected, Jesus lives here and today. How clear is your sight so that you are able to recognize this? What does Easter mean to you? Searching Easter eggs or having some free days for relaxing? Or do you celebrate the resurrection of Jesus together with all Christians in the whole world?

In case you don`t know Jesus yet, perhaps you are interested in having a closer look at him. He was not just some preacher and a good person. These two men in those days, they asked Jesus to stay with him and to eat with him.

Jesus would accept your invitation as well. Jesus is the Son of God, and Jesus loves you, precisely you!
