Grüß Gott, neues Jahr ! / Welcome New Year
Gott nahe
zu sein, ist mein Glück. (Psalm 73, 28)

Fortsetzung dieses Verses lautet: ...Ich habe
Gott, den Herrn zu meiner Zuflucht gemacht, um alle deine Werke zu verkünden.
Aus eigener Erfahrung
kann ich sagen, es ist rundum beruhigend und angenehm zu wissen, daß
Gott immer da ist. Ich weiß, er kümmert sich um mich und sorgt für mich.
Was aus diesem, nur
wenige Tage alten Baby einmal werden wird, wissen wir nicht. Aber ich
weiß, daß seine Eltern, Geschwister und Großeltern es liebevoll umsorgen,
und daher bin ich zuversichtlich, daß aus ihm einmal ein lebenstüchtiger,
selbstsicherer Mensch werden wird.
So, wie sich die Familie
um ein Baby kümmert, so und noch viel besser kümmert sich Gott um uns,
ganz egal, wie alt wir sind. Er ist immer für uns da. Daher können wir
getrost in die Zukunft blicken und uns darauf freuen, daß das neue Jahr
uns bestimmt viel Schönes bringen wird.
Wenn wir allerdings
den vorhergehenden Vers dieses Psalms betrachten, so lesen wir dort:
Denn siehe,
die fern von dir sind, kommen um; du vertilgst alle, die dir untreu
werden. (Psalm 73, 27)
Jedes
einzelnen Mensch hat die freie Wahl, sich für oder gegen Gott zu entscheiden.
Ich habe mich für Gott entschieden, und ich fühle mich sehr wohl dabei,.

This is the
verse from the Bible selected for the year 2014. The verse continues
like this: .... I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge; I will tell of all your deeds.
From my own
experiences I can confirm that it is all over comfortable and good to
know that God is always here. I know that he cares for me and looks
after me.
We do not
know what this young, just a few days old baby will become one day.
But I know that his parents, brother and grandparents care for him with
great love and therefore I am convinced that one day he will turn into
a self assured man, capable of facing life.
Just like
a family takes care of a baby, yet a lot more God is taking care of
us no matter how old we are. He will always look after us. Therefore
we may confidently face future and look forward to all the great things
that the New Year will provide for us.
However in
the verse prior to this one we read:
Those who are far from you will perish; you destroy all who
are unfaithful to you. (Psalm 73, 27 NIV)
Every person
may take his own decision to lead his life with or without God. I have
decided to live with God, and I feel very comfortable with my choice.
